Björn Evers is an experienced tech entrepreneur with a long international career. His life took an unexpected turn when he was diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis), which gave him insight into home care from the inside. There he saw a great void – the lack of effective planning systems for both users and staff. From that frustration, the idea for Caire was born.
Björn Evers is a visionary entrepreneur with a long international career in the tech industry. For over 20 years, he has founded and led successful technology companies around the world, learning the art of solving complex problems with innovative solutions.
In the midst of this successful career, his life took a new turn when he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). The unexpected diagnosis turned his life upside down. From a hectic everyday life as an international business leader, he suddenly found himself on the other side – as a patient in need of support.
At the same time, the new role as a care recipient gave Björn a unique insight into how the system worked – and where it failed. He saw shortcomings in care: a lack of understanding of the needs of people with disabilities, and a noticeable lack of modern digital tools.
This insight gave birth to a strong desire to change. With his background as a civil engineer in IT and many years of experience driving innovation, Björn knew he had the ability to make a difference. Instead of accepting the situation, he began sketching a solution – something that could fill the void he experienced every day in home care.
Caire connects existing systems and uses smart technology to automate and optimize scheduling in real-time. Unnecessary administration is removed, staff routes are streamlined, and schedules are adapted to reality – all so that staff can focus on what really matters: providing good care.
For home care companies, Caire means a new way of working. More efficient planning leads to less stress for employees and a better work environment, while users receive safer and more predictable care.

Today Caire consists of a dedicated team of developers, data analysts and people with background in care and welfare. We are proud to combine technical expertise with practical experience from home care in our working group. This allows us to understand the challenges from multiple perspectives.
We always put home care staff and users in focus when developing new features. The tools should be easy to use and really make a difference in everyday life.
We are driven by curiosity and a desire to stretch the boundaries of what is possible. Every team member is encouraged to come up with ideas – big and small – to improve the product.
In care, there is no room for technology that malfunctions. Therefore, we value quality assurance, security and support highly. Our customers should be able to trust us, always.
Both internally and with our customers. We work closely together, often in cross-functional teams, and we actively listen to feedback from those who use Caire daily.
The Caire team is based in Stockholm, but we also have employees who work remotely from different parts of the country.
For example, several of us have personal experience of having relatives with home care – this gives us personal commitment to making the system as good as possible.
