    Time windows

    Time windows and visit chains

The difference between plan windows, broader allowed windows, and merged visit chains in Caire optimization.

One plan window, one broader window

Every visit template should have one plan window from the care plan. A broader allowed window is optional and should only be used when the operation truly accepts flexibility outside the plan window.

    How Caire interprets the windows

The plan window shows the preferred placement. The broader window shows where the visit may still be placed if optimization needs flexibility to reduce travel or solve a capacity shortage.

    Visit chains

When several visits for the same client belong together, they can be merged into a chain. Caire then sees a more accurate work shape than if each row is optimized as an independent stop.
