When the client should have no visits

A pause is a period when the client should have no visits, for example during a hospital stay or short-term care. The client is not planned during the period. From the day after the end date, the client is planned again.

A pause is temporary. If the client should no longer receive care, set an end date on the client instead.

Add a pause

The client gets a badge in the list, such as a pause from a date, a pause until further notice, or a pause with the date the client returns.

  • 1. Open the client and choose Add pause.
  • 2. Choose the reason: hospital, short-term care, travel, absent or other.
  • 3. Enter the first and last day. Leave the end date empty if you do not know when the period ends.
  • 4. Add a note if you like. It is shown only to planners.
  • 5. Save.

New schedules skip the days

Schedules created after you save the pause skip the days. Schedules that already exist do not change.

If there are visits in a published schedule within the period, Caire shows how many. Cancel them from the visits in the published schedule.

The client comes home early

Choose to end the pause early and enter its last day. The client is planned again from the day after. If the pause should not apply at all, remove it. The period stays in the history but no longer affects planning.
