Saivo invests SEK 5 million in Caire to give home care more time for care
Saivo Capital invests SEK 5 million in EirTech AB, the company behind Caire. The capital will help develop and establish Caire's planning platform for home care.
Founded on experience of home care
Caire was founded by Björn Evers, who has experienced home care from the inside since his MS diagnosis. Over roughly five years and more than 5,000 home care visits, he saw how dedicated staff often had to make up for gaps in planning and information.
“I would not have chosen MS. But I can choose what I do with the experience it has given me. Everything I had done in technology taught me how to build. Home care taught me what needed to be built. That is the work I want to devote the rest of my working life to,” says Björn Evers, founder and CEO of Caire.
The planner reviews and decides
Every day, home care planners have to weigh visits, staffing, travel time, skills and continuity together, while conditions can change at short notice. Caire is building an AI-assisted platform that helps planners compare alternatives and produce schedules. The planner reviews and makes the decisions.
“Behind every line in a schedule is a person: someone waiting at home and an employee who wants to do a good job. With better tools we want to create a more predictable everyday life and give care staff better conditions to spend their time on people,” says Björn Evers.
What the investment gives Caire
The investment gives Caire the resources to keep developing the product, work on customer and partner deliveries and continue building the business. The company has also started recruiting a Head of AI.
