Recurring routes and dynamic visit planning – what is the difference?

Recurring routes help planners reuse a working week. Caire optimises the starting plan, then keeps visits and routes updated automatically as circumstances change.

A recurring route is a reusable pattern

Lisa works Monday's day shift and visits A, B, C and D. The planner has considered skills, continuity and travel, and can reuse the pattern next Monday. This saves work while conditions stay the same. A shift describes when Lisa works; the route pattern describes the visits and their order.

What happens when a new visit is added?

A new cleaning visit may be permitted on Tuesday or Thursday within defined windows. It need not be squeezed into Monday's route. Caire evaluates placement alongside other visits, available shifts, skills, continuity and travel. A fortnightly intervention retains its agreed cadence and permitted days.

Not every visit is movable. Time-critical visits retain their windows. Staffing shortages do not give Caire permission to arbitrarily shorten or cancel care.

This compares working methods, not vendor rankings. Carefox, Alfa eCare, Combine and Lifecare use different terms for baseline, daily and visit planning, and several offer optimisation. Caire's story connects the full lifecycle: care needs, initial placement and automatic replanning.

    One principle, two operating modes

Use Caire as a standalone planning system or as an optimiser integrated with your existing system. Once inputs and rules are configured, planning runs automatically and accounts for changes in real time. Your organisation controls rules, permissions and fixed placements.
