Which languages the handbook is in

Under Settings › Language settings you see the enabled languages. Add language enables a language for your organisation and Disable removes it. The language catalogue includes Swedish, English, Spanish, Arabic, Russian and Tigrinya, among others.

Set as default chooses the default language. The default language cannot be disabled, so choose another default first if you want to remove it.

Translate a page

The page editor has a tab per enabled language. Write the text in the default language first. Auto-translate fills in the other languages from the default language.

When some languages already have text, Caire asks whether to overwrite it. When the translation is done, review the text and save when you are happy.

  • Translate all pages under Language settings translates the pages into the enabled languages in one go.
  • Language statistics on the dashboard show how many pages are fully translated and which pages lack translations.

When a translation is missing

In the app, the handbook follows the app's language. When the page is not in that language it shows in Swedish, or else in another available language. The app then says the page is not in your language and which language is shown.

In the handbook on the web, the employee picks a language with Change language. When a translation is missing, the page shows in another language with a notice that the content is not available in your language.
