Copy day and adjust travel time

Two tools in the operations view: copy who does which visit from one day to another, and correct the travel time on one leg when it is wrong.

Only in the published schedule

Kopiera dag (Copy day) and Justera restid (Adjust travel time) are in the operations view, for the published plan that is running or about to start. A draft that is not published does not have them. Both prepare an adjustment that you review and approve. The published plan does not change until you approve.

Copy day

Copy day copies who does which visit, and the start time, from one day to another day. No visits are created or removed.

  • Choose Kopiera dag and the day under Till dag (To day).
  • Tick overwrite visits that already have staff if you want that. Otherwise those visits are skipped.
  • Choose Förhandsgranska (Preview). You see what is copied and what is skipped, and why.
  • Choose Förbered ändringen (Prepare the change) and review the adjustment.

How Caire matches the visits

A visit is copied to a visit on the target day for the same client and from the same visit template, whose time window holds the copied start time. Each copy is checked against the same rules as other planning, and no copy is forced. A copy is skipped when:

  • there is no matching visit that day,
  • the visit already has staff, or already has the same staff and time,
  • the time has already passed,
  • the placement breaks a rule, for example the caregiver has no shift that day, is absent or lacks a skill.

Adjust travel time

When the travel time between two visits is wrong, for example because of parking, traffic or difficult access, you correct that leg.

  • Choose Justera restid, then the caregiver (Medarbetare) and the leg (Sträcka).
  • Enter the travel time in whole minutes, 0–240, and the reason: parking, traffic, access to the home or other. Add a comment if you like.
  • Choose Förhandsgranska (Preview). You see which later visits move later.
  • Choose Förbered ändringen (Prepare the change) and review the adjustment.
Visit details with saved travel time before and after an assigned visit
The native visit view shows the solution's travel-time values before and after the selected assignment. The planner can read saved travel time around a real assigned visit. These values belong to this solution and do not show a new route calculation.

What moves and what cannot be done

Later visits on the route keep their order and length and only move later. A shorter travel time moves nothing earlier. When a visit would end up outside its time window or the shift, the change is refused. Your travel time is marked manual, and breaks do not move.

The leg to the day's first visit cannot be corrected, nor a leg to a visit that has already started, a leg with a break or one where a double-staffed visit would move. When an earlier visit on the route has passed without a reported outcome, report it first.
